I love Vi Voxley's Brion Brides and Warlords, and was hoping for the same with the Skaoi. The potential was there, but the story felt rushed and lacked depth. The world building was interesting but under developed. The main characters are likeable, but also lacked depth. I find collaborations can be tricky. I haven't read anything by Juno Wells, yet, but plan to. Overall a decent, light, steamy, story. I would read a sequel if they plan to do something like the Brion Brides/Warlords.Product details

I really enjoyed this book. Camden is a warrior who was made a general due to his prowess in battle and with saving the elders of his race. Little did he know that his true mate would be a Terran and that they would go on to find and destroy a traitor who is out to cause their races to go to war against each other. Can't wait to read more in this series.
I loved all the action in this book. I also liked the fact that the couple was instantly attracted to each other and fought the enemy together. This book was a fun read.
I loved this book, Vi and Juno didn't disappoint with this new adventure. Caden knew fate brought him Alina as soon as she stepped out the ship. She is coming to research the planet since they just joined the Alliance. Not everyone agrees with joining the Alliance and a plot to start a war is uncovered. Can Caden stop it before it starts and while ensuring his mates safety?
VI VOXLEY and JUNO WELLS have created a wonderfully charismatic leader in their alien world but also a strong,intelligent,determined human female lead. There's plenty packed into their story with danger,drama,deception,perilously dangerous life threatening situations,yet sizzling hot passionate scorching scenes with their love developing together. Alina Reyes a scientist who specializes in dark energy, which the Alliance hasn't been able to produce is finally leaving Terra for her first intergalactic assignment but all is not as it seems !The Planet Skaoi’s people are thought to be able to produce it , so they are travelling to that planet. She meets Caden, Commander of the Hammer, a small Skaoi spaceship he is not looking for his mate , but Alina just might be his. Their two races have never before married one another. What is really going on with Galactic Alliance? Will Alina and Caden get a happy ending ?
I love Vi Voxly's books and this is my first time reading Juno Wells.
While I really liked this book ( I found it plot imaginative and entertaining) the writing style seemed a little rushed or flat to me. That didn't keep me from enjoying it though. It is still well worth the read. If you are a stickler for perfect editing and sentence formation be aware there are some mistakes but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of this book.
I really liked the characters and the plot they just needed a little more development. I got sent this free but liked it enough that I bought my own copy.
I really enjoy anything that is written by Vi Volley and to see her collaborate with Juno was interesting. Even though I have marked it as 4 stars, I felt it was more a 3.5. Once I started reading I found it wasn't as in-depth as previously read books and felt it was rushed in parts, but having said that I still enjoyed the story. It has the trade mark action that we have seen in other Vi Voxley books but I struggled to relate to the Skaoi. Caden is an alpha male and meets his true mate in Alina, a human delegate. The contrast between the two cultures are well written but personally I think further development would be a plus. I hope to see more from these two.
